Ok, so I'm a week late but oh well. The girls (with a little bit of help from daddy) got me this wonderful Cuisinart ice cream maker. It fits in perfectly with my new limiting processed foods eating for the family.
Isn't it pretty? Lily picked the blue one out herself?
My first attempt was the vanilla (on the right). It's ok but I used the "gourmet" recipe and I think next time will just try the basic one. It's a little to custard like for my taste. Second try was Strawberry using the strawberries that Lily and I picked on her preschool field trip on Thursday. It turned out really good unfortunately Lily kept telling me there were "things" in her ice cream. I guess next time I will have to puree the strawberries a little more for her.

Your ice cream looks good-- yummy! I don't know if you have a recipe for banana ice cream, but that sounds quite appealing! Your bananas on the counter made me think of it.
Years ago Sara Lee made banana ice cream. It was fabulous and I loved it-- of course, they quit making it!
