Another reason to love Kohl's
We once again hit up Kohl's this weekend for some pants for Colin. Shocking as it may be I did not have a coupon and Colin couldn't believe it. He got some pants and a sport coat anyways and we sitll managed to get them for a pretty decent price. Of course I then got a Kohl's coupon in the mail this week. It's been raining for a days here but stopped this morning for a bit so I packed up the girls and the pants (he'd already worn the coat) to take them back to Kohl's full prepared to stand my ground and return them and rebuy them using my coupons if need be. The guy at Customer Service was so nice and informed me all I need was my receipt and didn't even have to bring all the stuff back in. Great! Except I of course packed up everything except my receipt this morning, I managed to forget it on the kitchen counter. Oh well, at least I know that I can just bring in my receipt this weekend and my coupon and get my extra 15% off.

Shopping for Free at Kohl's
Lately I haven't had a problem finding stuff at Kohl's especially when it's FREE (or close to it). I read this post by my friend Fancy and decided to give it a try and it worked. As a matter of fact it worked so well I am going to do it again and have improved on the idea a bit more. Go here and sign up for ebay daily deal alerts. They will then give you a coupon for $1 off an ebay purchase. It took a couple days but I just got mine. Then I went on ebay and used my coupon and bought 20 more Kohl's coupons for $1.25 minus my $1 coupon and I got them for $.25. There is a Kohl's a mile from our house that I have to drive by all the time so I don't have to go out of my way to stop there while I am out running my other erands.

School Clothes Shopping
Lily has now been in preschool for 2 weeks (2 mornings a week) and is still loving it. However, her clothes are not doing so well. She has now come home with some type of paint/crayon/marker on her for 3 out of the 4 days she's gone. So far I have managed to get the art work off her clothes but I'm sure my lucky streat will soon come to an end. Last week Colin said he needed a new suit and I knew Kohl's was having a good sale and you could earn Kohl's cash so we took a little family shopping trip. Colin got his suit and some other shirts for work for the fall/winter and we earned $40.00 in Kohl's cash. I took that and a $5 coupon I got in my email and got Lily some "school clothes". I got her three outfits and a shirt to go with a pair of play jeans she already has. I spent a total of $6.06 after my cash and coupons so each piece was $1.01 (the leggings were packaged together). Add these to a few other articles of clothing she's got that are "paint friendly" and she's set until the spring. I think they are still cute but for $1 a piece I won't have a heart attack every time she comes home with paint on them.
My total saved was actually $86.23 since everything I got was also on sale.....although I think it's pretty hard to find something that's NOT on sale at Kohl's.
