The Boat

Of course while we were visiting we had to go out on the boat. The weather wasn't the greatest so even though we did get to take a couple short trips out we didn't actually go in the water. Last year Lily wasn't too excited about going on the boat but I think that's because the life jacket was pretty uncomfortable for her. This year she was bigger and the jacket fit a lot better and she LOVED the boat. She screamed when we got back to the dock and did not want to get off.

Captain Lily driving the boat (don't worry, it's actually parked at the dock)

Hannah loved the boat too and she got her very own special life jacket

Really driving the boat this time with a little help from Grandpa

The Carousel

We made a quick trip to the mall while visiting Grandma and Grandpa and Lily went on her first (and second) carousel ride. She didn't like sitting on the horse until it started moving but once it did she loved it.

John Deere Princess

I made this outfit for Lily to wear while we were visiting my parents. Both my mom and dad grew up on farms and my dad is a big John Deere fan and I saw this fabric at the store and knew it would be perfect for an outfit for our trip. It actually turned into a great night to cook out and though most of the time I have to drag her inside kicking and screaming for some reason Lily did not want to be outside that night so I had to bribe her with the portable dvd player and some Dora the Explorer. My friend Kristine's (see previous post) parents were there that night too and were nice enough to bring Lily a present. She loves her "magic crown" and wand. I think they were perfect accessories to her pink John Deere outfit.

Hannah's Baptism

We made a trip up to Connecticut this past weekend to visit Grandma and Grandpa. While we were there we had Hannah baptized. The second picture is Hannah with her Godparents, my best friend since 5th grade Kristine and my brother Drew (excuse his jeans, he'd already changed clothes). I will have more posts to come from out trip, we had lots of fun even if the weather wasn't the greatest.

Lily's First Sleepover

This is how I found her yesterday when I went to get her from her nap. This is the first time that we've found her asleep anywhere but her bed since we took the crib railing off. But, she didn't just fall asleep while she was playing. If you look closely you can see the pillow under her head and she has her blanket with her too. She must have decided to take them with her to her play house and lay down there to sleep. After we took the picture she woke up and wasn't too happy but it was 7:30 and I was afraid to let her sleep any longer otherwise she was never going to go to bed again for the night.

My Big Girl

Hannah likes to wake up bright and early in the morning and it's not a slow wake up either, she is all happy and chipper instantly at 6 am. Obviously she does not get this from me. Colin was nice enough to take her into the other room last weekend when she decided 6:15 on a Saturday was the perfect time to be awake. I can't believe she is 5 months old already. She can roll over and is talking constantly.

Force Choke

I know the video is crooked but it will turn right side in a second. Anyways, Colin taught Lily "force choke" and has been trying to get it on video for weeks. So if you are a normal person like me you probably don't know what a force choke is. It's some Star Wars thing where apparently you can choke someone using mind control.....I think. If you watch the video you see about half way through she starts to pinch her fingers open and closed and that is how you do a force choke.
