Oswald
I thought I would take a moment and introduce a family friend of ours. As I type this Lily is sitting nice and quietly on the couch watching her favorite show, Oswald. This is the only time Lily will sit still for more than two minutes at a time. I don't know what it is about this show but she absolutely loves it. Oswald has a pet dog named Weenie and his two best friends are Henry (a penguin) and Daisy (yes she's a daisy). Lily will say hello to each of them as they come on the screen at the beginning of the epside. Oswald and his friends reside in Big City, a place Colin says he would love to live because everything costs a quarter. Oswald is on the Noggin channel (owned by Nickelodeon) and it's like pre-school on tv, or at least that is what the commercial says. If you ever happen to catch an episode you might ask yourself by Oswald seems so familiar to you and that is because he is voiced by Fred Savage. I thought a stuffed Oswald would be a great Christmas present for Lily but I quickly learned that the lovely folks at Nickelodeon stopped making Oswald products and the only place to get one is ebay where they sell anywhere from $100 to $200. I love my daughter but am not crazy enough to pay that much for a stuffed octopus sooo I thought it couldn't be that hard to make one, right? Wrong! I did make one and I think he turned out pretty good but I would rather not repeat the experience.

Lily & Hannah
The lovely people we bought our house from were nice enough to paint every room before they sold it. However, the problem is they painted every wall white and all of the moulding off white. Who paints moulding off white? We are slowly but surely painting every room and that includes painting all of the off white trim back to white. This weekend Colin took some time to paint the upstairs hallway and the girls bedroom doors (oh yeah, they painted ALL of the doors off white too) so we could put up the letters for their names. The walls still need to be painted (Belgian Waffle) but it's another step closer to being done with all of the home improvement projects we have.

1 Month
Ok so technically I am a little late but it's close enough. Hannah had her 1 month checkup today and she's doing good. She weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces which puts her in the 5th percentile for weight and is 21 inches long which puts her in the 50th percentile for height. I don't think Lily has ever made it out of the 25th percentile for height so it looks like Hannah may just be the tall one in the family. We are still working on her sleeping issues. The doctor thinks that she may be a little confused on her days and nights since she eats ever 3 hours during the day but lately at night she wants to eat ever 1.5 to 2 hours. Here are a couple pictures I took today too.

Babywearing
As I may have mentioned Hannah does not like to be put down. She prefers to be right next to me at all times so in order to get anything done around the house I have been carrying her around in a sling. Lily has apparently picked up on how this whole sling thing works and thought it was a good way to carry her baby around too. I am thinking that maybe I will try and make her her own that fits a little better.

Meet my new bff!
Hannah has not yet mastered the ability to sleep on her own. I have been holding this child for four weeks straight and have been unable to put her down for more than 10-15 minutes here and there. She has been sleeping in bed with me at night too because as soon as I lay her down in her bed she wakes right up. Yesterday Colin left work a little early and stopped at the store and picked this up. I love him! She sleeps in it! We already had a bouncy seat but this one lays much flatter and the legs let you rock it which seems to really calm her down and put her to sleep. The best part too is that when Hannah out grows it, it turns into a toddler sized chair so Lily can use it.

We have snow!
Or I guess I should say we HAD snow. It was on the ground this morning but by the time I got a free minute and went to take a picture it was all gone.
Nothing else new around here. I am still working on trying to get something that resembles a routine going around here. Colin caught a cold a couple weeks ago and passed it on to Lily and now I am a little under the weather and just trying to keep Hannah from getting it now.
