Weekend Recap

I am trying to get better about doing regular posts instead of my normal cycle of lots of posts and then no posts for awhile.  On Mondays I am going to do a post about our fun and exciting adventures during the weekend.

This saturday we took the girls to Maymont Park.  They have lots of animals, goats, sheep, birds (hawks and eagles), foxes, and even a couple bears that we like to look at and you can even feed the goats.  Our main purpose of this trip thoug was to head to the Japanese garden and feed the fish.  They have some humongous koi and they will just swarm all together if you feed them.  I made sure to set the camera right next to the diaper bag before we left and of course forgot to pick it up so unfortunately I have no pictures.  Lily loved feeding the fish though and asked if she could get in the water and pet them and kiss them.  We did not think that was such a good idea.  After that we headed to O'Tooles for some lunch and the girls were actually pretty well behaved.  While they napped Colin and I painted the shed so it matches the house and blends in a little more and doesn't stick out quite so much.  After the girls were up I decided to make some oatmeal raisin cookies but realized I was out of brown sugar so I ran up to the store real quick.  While I was there I came up with another idea I thought might be fun so I also grabbed a bag of popcorn kernels.  I made popcorn on the stove and Lily loved it, her job is to watch it and let me know when the first kernel pops so we know it's ready for the rest.  She and Colin polished off two batches of popcorn this weekend without a problem so I guess they like it.  The cookies were pretty good too.

Sunday was pretty uneventful.  We had another open house and even had a couple people show up this time.  Hopefully as the weather turns a little more spring like we will get more people looking at the house and actually get an offer.  We found out we still have a chance at the house we want so we just keep plugging along at our "to do list" hoping the right person comes along to buy our house in time.
