Wilmington

Lily, Hannah, and I took a little trip down to Wilmington with my mom and dad last week. It was lots of fun but a bit exhausting as well. Lily loves the ocean and this trip was no exception. Grandma was pretty brave and was the one who ended up in the water with her while I sat on the beach with Hannah, camera in hand. This was our first trip to the water and she didn't go in too far but the next day I showed her that she could sit in the shallow water and the waves would come in and she loved it. This was a great beach because the waves were pretty gentle and the water was actually quite shallow (6 inches or so) for quite a ways out so there was plenty of room for Lily to play without us having to be constantly pushing her back towards shore.

We played in the water and built lots of sand castles but by far Lily's most favorite activity was chasing the sea gulls. I didn't get any pictures of it as she would take off after them and it wasn't so easy to catch up to her once she was on the move.
