I finally did it...

I just couldn't take it anymore today and I tossed all of Lily's binkys in the garbage. Ok, so maybe not all, I saved one for an EXTREME emergency but the rest are gone. The first time she asked I managed to distract her for a bit....it's amazing what chocolate will do for a 2 year old. This did not last however when she manged to find a binky she had stashed somewhere amongst her toys. Being the mean mommy that I am I took it and tossed it with the others. This caused an even bigger melt down than earlier. After about 30 minutes of on and off crying I decided it was time for bed. She continued to cry but she finally quieted down after another 20 minutes or so. I was hoping she had cried herself to sleep but I can still hear her moving around up there. I really hope the rest of the night goes ok, I am not naive enough to believe my sleep will go completely uninterrupted but here's to hoping they are only minor interruptions.
