On the wagon

This is no longer part of my morning or even daily routine. I have decided that my Diet Coke habit is not good and is really something I'd like to cut out of my diet for good. Since I don't drink coffee I used to grab a can bright and early every morning, another at lunch, and probably at least one more either in the afternoon or with my dinner.


I tried just going cold turkey on Wednesday but the sudden lack of caffeine is causing withdrawl headaches (not a surprise) so I am trying to just take some Excedrin since it has caffeine in it. Unfortunately it doesn't always work and I have given in to the pain and had about 2 1/2 cans total over the last few days. I really don't think that is too bad considering I had a 3 a day habit. I've tried to quit a couple times before but it never lasted very long because of the headaches but hopefully this time I can stick with it.

Good Luck! I tried just going down to one a day last month, but didn't stick with it. However, I'm only at 2 a day now, so I don't think that's too bad. I love my cherry cokes though!

Wow! I can't even imagine life without Diet Coke. It's usually all I drink. I'm not good with water, love juice but not the calories. And I don't drink coffee, ever.

You'll have to keep us updated on the changes you notice. I hate the headaches (I have tried to switch to caffeine free Diet Coke). But when you notice *good* changes let us know. Then maybe I'll consider it too! I'm sure it's not good for us.
