Other cereal benefits:
Ready-to-eat cereals, including presweetened cereals, account for only 5% of sugar in children’s diets.
Ready-to-eat cereal is the No. 1 source of whole grains in a child’s diet today.
More frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures.
Studies also demonstrate the benefits of eating breakfast. A 1998 study showed that children who eat breakfast tend to perform better at school. Compared to children who skip breakfast, children who eat breakfast score higher on tests, are less likely to miss class or be tardy, have fewer reported discipline problems, and make fewer trips to the office.
Right now Lily's favorite cereal is Lucky Charms. She prefers to pick out the marshmellows and feed Hannah the oat pieces but I am working on getting her to eat all of it herself. I still love cereal too and a lot of times in our house Lily and I even eat it as a snack. I will also fully admit that 90% of the cereal boxes in our house (even the ones I eat) have giant cartoon characters on them.
Sooooooo........I am going to be giving away TWO coupons for a FREE box of General Mills cereal up to a $6 value. I couldn't even find a box at my grocery store that was $6 and I got the biggest one they had. Just leave a comment letting me know what your or your kids favorite cereal is and I will pick a winner Saturday after 8 pm (est).
All information and coupons were provided by General Mills through MyBlogSpark.

I don't do milk so I eat Honey Nut Cheerios plain. Madison however likes anything with marshmallows or chocolate!
Fruity Pebbles are the awesomest!
:)
My kids favorite is Reese's PB Cup cereal. I like Kellogg's Raisin Brain and Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds.
Caroline just grasped the concept of eating cereal with Milk this week! Alan is eating Total Cinnamon Crunch (for his girlish figure). I had fruit loops yesterday while keeping Caroline entertained in Target:)
Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch! YUMMY!
Faves right now w/the boys are Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms. I love cereal too. I am eating boring Special K but I love me some cocoa pebbles ;)

With 3 kids we have 3 different favorites - Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and last but not least Frosted Flakes - There GREAT!
My mom always ate a bowl of cereal before she went to bed. I have done this a few times too.
